Bio: Jon Wray BVSc DSAM Cert VC MRCVS, RCVS-Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Medicine (Internal Medicine)
Jon graduated from the University of Bristol in 1996 and after 2 years in mixed practice in Somerset returned to Bristol to complete a residency in Small Animal Medicine. He is a Diplomate and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Medicine, previous Chief Examiner of RCVS Certificate and Diploma in Small Animal Medicine and is undertaking the Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology. He currently works as a Consultant Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Head of Cardiology at Dick White Referrals in Cambridgeshire, a multidisciplinary referral practice of some 33 Diplomates, where he also provides services in Interventional Radiology and Interventional Cardiology. Previous posts include Clinician in Internal Medicine at Willows Referral Service, Head of Internal Medicine at the Animal Health Trust and Clinical Fellow in Cardiorespiratory Medicine at the University of Bristol, and current posts include Honorary Associate Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Nottingham and Visiting Lecturer/Professor at the Universities of Copenhagen and Lusofona (Lisbon). He is author of the book ‘Canine Internal Medicine: What’s Your Diagnosis?’ and has contributed chapters to several other textbooks.
